As we observe the world around us our minds are filled with uncertainties. It is easy to be overwhelmed with a great sense of hopelessness. It is imperative we understand that the direction of our eyes will depict the condition of our hearts. The Bible tells us that, “hope deferred makes the heart sick.” Biblical hope is the assurance of the fulfillment of the plan and promises of God. Our God is faithful. He is the God of hope. May we declare the words of the psalmist,” Why are you cast down oh my soul? Hope I’m God.” Our hope is only as strong as the object it rests upon. We must choose to build our hope upon Jesus.
